The nature was very varied

We drove through very varied landscape during the day. At the beginning very dry and stony, then a lot more green with a lot of farming. Nice little villages along the very windy roads.

Time for lunch in San Mateo

A very good lunch in san Mateo!

Coffe break

Dad finally got his coffee at a place along the road!

Back in Sweden!

Back in Sweden for three days. After an eventful trip back to Sweden with having to buy a new ticket in Dubai as we missed the flight to Sweden we came back late Monday evening. Worked, unpacked and packed for three days. Also had some time to catch up with Mia, which was very nice! Flew to Stockholm Thursday afternoon and had some time with my dear friends in Stockholm before flying off to the Gran Canaria on Saturday morning with my family.

Lunch next to the water

We found a great restaurant by the water where we had lunch. We though had an issue when we were to pay and didn't have enough money.... We thought they took credit card, but they didn't. Fortunately they exchanged money in one of the shops next door so we could sort it out and didn't have to do the dishes....

Jew street

Ingrid looks at the spices on Jew street. A lot of shops with handicraft, spices and fabrics.

Straight out to the open ocean

The Chinese fishing net

The chinese fishing nets that are a big attraction in Cochin.

Escaped the pavilion for a day!

Ingrid and I escaped the pavilion and Race Village for a day to explore Fort Cochin, the old part of Cochin. We had a great time! Here at Vasco da Gama's tombstone. He was buried here for 14 years before he was moved to Lisabon, Portugal.

Walk in line!

The queue is long to the pavilion

The indian public is very curious and can queue for hours to get into our pavilion. During the most hectic days during the weekend we've had about 20 000 people going through the pavilion, but then it's litterary "going through" the pavilion. There is so much people so they get to spend about 3, 5 minutes inside and can barerly ask a question. They take a lot of pictures and the product specialists are a popular target!

View from our balcony

Puma is good at branding.. Someone called it the Puma city..

Sunday Media opening

A big interest from Media the first day of opening! As everything else in India: nothing happens, nothing happens, everything happens! They came in, looked around and disappeared in five minutes.

Outside the Volvo pavilion

Johan and I outside the Volvo pavilion. They decorate very nicely with flowers and weed..

Entrance to the Race Village

The entrance to the Race Village looks least to say different from Alicante and Cape Town.

India calling!

Back again! It's been, least to say, hectic since I stepped on the plane in Sweden about two weeks ago! It started out with my plane being diverted to Dehli airport instead of Mumbai in the middle of the night. The bombings in Mumbai happend when we were about an hour away hence the immediate redirection to Dehli instead. After a lot of hassling for four hours and not so very nice words from me, I got booked on a flight the next afternoon to Kochi. They drove me to a hotel, I got to sleep about two hours, no food, back to the airport, checked in on the flight and then heaven in the forms of McDonalds. I don't think McDonalds ever tasted that good! The rest of the trip was running smooth and I arrived only about 12 hours later than planned. India is different, very different! It's an experience least to say! Luckily Johan got to stay for another four days so we got to spend some time together before he headed home. Next time is New Year in Singapore..
Uploading some images to show what's it like down here.

Plans until mid February!

So for the ones of you that are trying to keep up with where I am and when I'm in Stockholm next time... Here comes a quick agenda until mid February:

27 November - 15 December India
16- 18 December Göteborg
19 December Stockholm
20 - 27 December Kanarieöarna (Yes! I get to travel for Christmas!)
28 December Göteborg
29 December - ca. 19 January Singapore
20 January - 16 February Qindao, China

It's gonna be a bit hectic.... And unfortunately there's not gonna be a lot of time in Stockholm before mid February. Hopefully I can come up at the end of February for a longer period of time. I don't have full control after the China trip, but it will sort itself out in the next coming weeks and Rio will be at the end of March. Unfortunately it also looks like there will be no skitrip this winter... I'm gonna miss that, but it's worth it! :-)

So considering the amount of travel I have bought myself an IPod Touch (My old IPod is long gone!). I love it!! If you need someone to convince you to buy one, call me and I can go on and on about how great it is! If I don't get a job after Volvo Ocean Race I can start promoting the IPod Touch. Probably the only sales job I would be good at!

At the house

Loads of apples have fallen down from the tree so we picked them up and threw them away. The birds really like them and were eating away while we stood next to the tree. The house is in good shape. I now have a plan for what to do with the garden, so I look forward to when I can get started! Good to have something to distract when the race is over at the end of June!

Brunch at Soho with Martine

Soho has a great brunch! Very good to meet up with Martine! Long time no see! She is moving down to Australia in January for a couple of years, so hopefully we can meet up there next time! :-)

Back in Göteborg

So, back in Göteborg again! Had a great time in South Africa and Cape Town! It's a great city! Will be home now for about 10 days before it's time to go down to India. The romours has it that they are far from being ready for the arrival of the yachts and the opening of the Race Village so it will be very interesting!
