Beijing

So now on our way back to Göteborg. We've had a full day in Beijing yesterday sightseeing. We started out in the morning with the Great Wall of China. Incredible beautiful! We celebrated Ingrids birthday with some champagne on the wall. Then off for a nice lunch and continued back to Beijing and the Forbidden city. Very interesting! Then off for shopping after the mandatory stop at Starbucks coffee! Did some shopping and found some good things! We then had a very good dinner at a modern Chinese restaurant. Back at the hotel around ten we were quite tired after a very long, but very good day!
Now it's time for boarding! Soon back in Sweden after 6 weeks!

The boats have left and so do we!

Three of the boats left at the start signal yesterday. Telefonica Blue hit a stone and had to haul the boat out of the water again to fix the damage, but they also left this morning. Ericsson 3 finally made it to Qingdao last night and made a pitstop, 1, 5 hours, stocking up and getting three more crew aboard and then they started to chase the other boats. So we have for this leg 5 boats on it's way to Rio.
Karin and I are leaving Qingdao in a few minutes for Beijing. We will join Petra and Ingrid for some sightseeing and shopping and go back to Sweden on Tuesday. So hopefully I see you soon in Sweden!
